Donations allow blind man to keep the dog that saved him
Wed Dec 18, 2013
Ourdoc and Dacs - read the article - it was Cecil's insurance (not Guiding Eyes) that wouldn't cover the cost to keep the dog. Guiding Eyes is a nonprofit that relies on donations to train the dogs.
Richard Engel and NBC News team freed from captors in Syria
Tue Dec 18, 2012
Very glad the entire news team is safe and unharmed!!! I wish you all the best.
7 pooches rescued as police bust Illinois dog fight
Fri Dec 7, 2012
Those poor dogs!!! Dogs provide people with unconditional love and companionship - and unfortunately, some 'humans' (i use the term loosely for the pieces of excrement that had the dogs) take advantage of this and abuse these wonderful creatures.
'Secret Santa' hands out $100 bills to stunned Sandy survivors in Staten Island
Fri Nov 30, 2012
What a wonderful person!! thank you for your random acts of kindness. if we all can follow his gesture in some way - donations, volunteering at a shelter, assisting a person with their bags - this world would be a better place
Alleged police impersonator busted pulling over actual cop
Fri Jun 22, 2012
Why was this idiot released on his own recognizance? There have been serious crimes committed by individuals impersonating police officers. i worry about what could have happened to the actual police officer if she didn't first identify herself as such - she could have been a victim.

Thu Jun 21, 2012

Cutting carbs just 2 days a week can spur weight loss
Thu Dec 8, 2011
is there a typo in the article? on those low carb days, are people REALLY supposed to limit their calories to just 650 (which would be below starvation levels) or is this just a case or poor proofreading?
Report: Knox family invites her ex-boyfriend to Seattle
Thu Oct 6, 2011
Excellent points, Enma! you hit the nail on the head. i cannot believe the poor judgment the parents have by inviting the boyfriend over. Even if they were not guilty of the crime (and i seriously doubt that) he has shown himself to be a poor influence at BEST.
Meredith Kercher's family seeks answers as Amanda Knox walks free
Tue Oct 4, 2011
The Kercher family is right - Meredith has been 'lost in the shuffle' in this whole debacle. I am not convinced of Amanda's innocence (and definitely not her boyfriend's) but the court has spoken.
Wife sues after husband's brain is removed
Thu Sep 22, 2011
it sounds like she has half a mind to sue! ;)
